Overview

We are seeking an Architect of Record (AOR) to join our team. The AOR will be responsible for ensuring that all architectural designs and project documents comply with local building codes, regulations, and professional standards. This role involves reviewing and approving drawings, overseeing permit submissions, and coordinating with consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibility

  • Serve as the officially licensed architect responsible for the project’s design compliance with all applicable Architecture building codes, zoning regulations, and professional standards.

  • Prepare the AOR report for each design stage as per project contract.

  • Review, stamp, and sign architectural drawings and documents submitted to authorities having jurisdiction.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of architectural deliverables prepared by design teams or consultants.

  • Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors to maintain design integrity throughout all project phases.

  • Oversee submissions for building permits and approvals, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.

  • Represent the project in front of regulatory authorities, municipalities, and professional boards as required.

  • Maintain full compliance with professional and legal obligations under the relevant engineering/architectural council or authority.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture.

  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in architectural review and project coordination.

  • Proven track record in handling authority submissions, permitting, and code compliance.

  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.

  • Excellent coordination and communication skills to liaise with clients, consultants, and government entities.

  • Using software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools) for review and commented purpose.

  • Strong sense of accountability and ethical responsibility as the legally responsible architect for the project.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under regulatory frameworks.

  • Good Command in English for communication and reporting.
