Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Design Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to join our engineering team in Nasr City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the complete HVAC design process for large-scale projects, from performing cooling load calculations and system design to ensuring compliance with international standards.

Responsibility

  • Perform cooling load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.

  • Design HVAC systems, including Chilled Water, DX Systems, VRF, and Package Units.

  • Apply knowledge of sustainability, value engineering, smoke management systems, and fire/life safety regulations.

  • Prepare detailed design drawings using Revit.

  • Review and verify design documents to ensure compliance with international standards and codes.

  • Coordinate effectively with other disciplines (Electrical, Architectural, Structural) to deliver integrated solutions.

  • Propose technical and cost-effective alternatives to optimize system performance and reduce expenses.

  • Participate in design review meetings with consultants and clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Power or HVAC specialization).

  • At least 7 years of solid experience in HVAC design for large-scale projects.

  • Strong proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Duct Sizer, and Pipe Sizer.

  • In-depth knowledge of international codes and standards (SBC, IBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA).

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

  • Prior experience in high-rise, residential, and commercial mall projects is highly desirable.

  • Good command of written and spoken English.
